N121UC returns after four-month refurbishment
The airworthiness certificate may indicate some flying experience, but for all practical purposes, N121UC has rejoined the flight line as a brand-new Skyhawk after an extensive top to bottom refurbishment led by Sporty’s talented team of technicians from Eastern Cincinnati Aviation and Cincinnati Avionics.
What you’ll notice first on the Cessna 172R is the gorgeous exterior with striking new paint, new windows and bright LED lighting all powered by a factory-new Lycoming IO-360. Inside you’ll enjoy a brand-new interior from headliner, to floor, to seats. Built as a capable, VFR and IFR trainer, anchoring the standard 6-pack is an electronic Garmin G5 primary attitude indicator with airspeed and altitude tapes and a Garmin G5 HSI. Because of the G5s independent AHRS, you get the added safety and reliability of an automatic backup attitude indicator.
Navigating has never been more enjoyable or intuitive thanks to the Garmin GTN650 navigator. The GTN650 NAV/COMM offers the convenience of touch screen inputs and comfort of traditional Garmin logic. The GTN650 will also drive the new GTX335 ADS-B transponder.
There is plenty of space and power available for charging those portable electronics as well thanks to the Stratus Power, dual 2.5amp USB charging ports.
