Sport Pilot Training – Fun, Affordable and No Medical Required

A sport pilot certificate allows you to experience the pure fun, sport and recreation in flying by enjoying the pleasures of a light sport airplane on good-weather days.

What is a light sport airplane? It’s essentially a 2-place, propeller-driven airplane weighing less than 1,320 pounds. At Sporty’s, we offer the safe, modern and reliable Cessna Skycatcher that can travel at speeds from 40mph to 140mph depending on your desire.

What can a sport pilot do? You can fly yourself and a passenger on good-weather days to enjoy an afternoon of sightseeing or explore new places. The distance is your choice – become a sport pilot and broaden your horizons.

What are the sport pilot eligibility requirements? Simple – you must be at least 17 years old, be able to read, speak, write, and understand English, hold at least a valid U.S. driver’s license and possess a Student Pilot Certificate.
